Charlotte Silver is a reporter based in the Bay Area. She is currently at UC Berkeley's Graduate School of Journalism where she is studying investigative reporting. Her most recent work can be found at Mission Local, where she reported on everything from campaign finance to San Francisco’s public hospital to warring jiu jitsu clubs. Before that she was a staff reporter and associate editor at The Electronic Intifada, a news site that covers Palestine, Israel and anti-Muslim discrimination in the US. Her work has appeared in The Nation, Vice.com, In These Times, Al Jazeera English and other publications. Her coverage of the San Francisco Police Department was recognized by . the Society of Professional Journalists, Northern California in 2018. Her investigation for KALW into tourist rentals in San Francisco received the award for Explanatory Journalism from the Society of Professional Journalists, Northern California in 2014. She has been reporting from the West Bank, Gaza Strip and Israel since 2010.

She lives in Oakland, California.
